Home Health FAQs
Home health care provides health care and related services to patients in their home. It can provide a variety of services including skilled nursing care, physical, occupational and speech therapies, medical social work assistance, and personal care assistance to help you with essential daily activities.
MaximaCare accepts patients with Medicare, workers compensation, private or commercial insurance, managed care plans, and private pay.
Homebound is defined by Medicare as needing the help of another person or equipment (walker, wheelchair, etc.) to leave your home, or your doctor’s belief that your health or illness could get worse if you leave your home. You can still go to church and leave your home for short periods of time for special non-medical events like graduations or family reunions. You may also take occasional trips to the barber or beauty parlor.
